This week we looked at image editing to use in the classroom. I appreciated the practical aspect of the class and understanding what programs are available to teachers and their time constraints. I have always enjoyed art and often get carried away spending too much time on graphics. I have taken many computer classes and have experimented with various programs, including CorelDraw years ago. In middle school, we had to follow a program called Lynda that taught us Photoshop and Illustrator lessons. Although I remember the videos and assignments being incredibly boring, they did introduce some valuable skills. I was curious to see if this was still around. After a quick search, I discovered it is now called LinkedIn Learning. My favourite technology that has been released since then has been the Apple pencil. The Adobe apps for iPads and Procreate work excellent for nonprofessionals not working with video a lot. I can draw a complete picture in under 5 minutes, easily download and create brushes, and vectorize photos.
